Has Been Chosen by Fontainebleau Hospital to Replace Its Aging Legacy LIS

Denver, CO – (March 3, 2009) – Global Med Technologies®, Inc. (“Global Med” or the “Company”) (OTCBB:GLOB), an international e-Health, medical information technology company, today announced that its Inlog subsidiary has licensed its EdgeLab Laboratory Information Software (Marketed as “Labo Serveur” in France) to the Fontainebleau Hospital, located near Paris. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The Fontainebleau Hospital has a laboratory which handles 250-300 patient requests per day and will have 13 laboratory analyzers directly connected to the EdgeLab solution. EdgeLab will be integrated into Fontainebleau’s hospital network and will electronically communicate results back to the electronic patient record.

Since EdgeLab was introduced into the hospital market in 1999 as “Labo Serveur”, it has become a leading Laboratory Information Management System in Europe with more than 150 licensed laboratories. EdgeLab is connected with more than 1,000 analyzers and interchanges data with all major hospital healthcare software packages. It has a vibrant, easy-to-use Windows graphical interface in addition to a comprehensive range of laboratory functionality. EdgeLab can be easily configured to meet the business needs of large, diverse, multi-site hospital laboratories, as well as small, single site hospitals.

Will Willman, Global Med’s Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing EU/ME/Asia, commented, “We are excited by continued strong sales of EdgeLab in Europe. Hospitals like Fontainebleau choose EdgeLab because it contains superior features, has current technology and can be implemented in a shorter period of time than many of the other European vendors. We are very pleased to have been chosen by Fontainebleau.”
